Christmas at Luther Ticketing Help

This is the second year with the new Luther College Tickets online ticketing system for Christmas at Luther. If you are having any difficulties, please take at look at the troubleshooting guide below to see if we can answer your question.

It looks like the Christmas at Luther tickets are not on sale to me until November 1st, but I got an invitation in the mail to buy tickets on October 11.  Everyone must sign-in to My Account to be able to purchase Christmas at Luther tickets using your Username (full email address) and password.  Once you log in, the performance will be available to you.

I’m clicking on the performance, but I am just getting information, I don’t see buying information.
You must click on Buy on the right hand side of your selected performance in order to start the purchasing process. 

I validated my account already, but today it doesn’t work. Try the Forgot Password? function in the My Account box. Remember that the Username login is the full email address that has been designated as the primary contact at Luther College (try your partner’s email). If you are still getting an error message, call the Ticket Office to have your password reset.

I keep trying to select seats, but when I click the Add to Order button, they are no longer available. The system allows 500 people to purchase tickets simultaneously.  You are competing with someone else for the tickets you are choosing.  We recommend selecting the Best Available tab at the top right and allowing the system to choose the next best available seats for you immediately.  Once you get to your Shopping Cart, you can click to see where these seats are located before completing your purchase.  Tickets are held for 10 minutes once they are in your Shopping Cart.

I used the Best Available function, how do I know where my seats are? Once your seats are in your Shopping Cart, you can see where they are in the hall by clicking on Show Seats under the Options heading. If you do not like your seats, you will need to choose Cancel Order and begin the process again.

Can I buy tickets on my iPhone/iPad or other mobile devices?  Our ticketing system is now optimized for you to purchase online tickets using both the Choose Your Seat or Best Available functions on mobile devices.

I selected seats, but I want to choose different ones. If you are in Select Your Seats , in the Your Selections box, you may use the scrollbar to scroll to the right and click on the little box to delete your seats.  You may then select new seats. Your seats are not secured in Select Your Seats until you click Add to Order .  If you are in Best Available , once tickets are in your  Shopping Cart you need to click on Cancel Order on the bottom left to delete the seats and start over.

I want tickets for a particular performance, but they are all sold out and they just went on sale.  We recommend that you decide your preferred performance and alternate options before October 11. Tickets will sell quickly--especially for Saturday and Sunday performances due to their popularity with parents of student performers.  There will not be a waiting list available; any unsold or returned tickets will be available online on November 1 at 9:00 a.m.

I am calling the Ticket Office at 563-387-1357, but I can’t get through. We have limited phone operators available. Please be patient, and continue to call back. Please buy your tickets online if you have internet access.

I need accessible seating, do I need to call to get that set up? No, you can purchase accessible seating seating in all price points with our online system. In addition to the marked accessible areas, all seats in the Orchestra section are accessible. 

I have no idea what my username and password is. Everyone who received a Christmas at Luther ticket invitation has an account already set up in the new ticketing system, but needs to get set up with online access for your account. If we do not have an email on file for you, you need to contact the Luther Ticket Office to get an online Username and password.  If we had an email address on file at Luther, your unique online login credentials were printed in the ticket invitation mailed to you.  The username is your primary email address on file at Luther College. Use the Forgot Password? function in the My Account box. Your Christmas at Luther ticket access is non-transferable and is already coded to your name and ticket account. I thought I could choose my own seats, but I can only get Best Available seats.  During heavy sales times (October 11, from 9-11 a.m. estimated), we have set the system for Best Available only to help you purchase tickets. You can choose the Ticket Price, the Section of the Hall, and whether you want Accessible seats in Best Available . During non-peak times, you will be able to use either the Select Your Seats or Best Available functionality.

Do I need a promo code for Christmas at Luther tickets? No. You only need to log in to get access because your account is already coded to allow you to purchase these tickets.

I don’t use the internet, can I have someone else help me get my tickets? We encourage patrons to work with someone who can help you navigate the online system, however only your account will be coded to receive Christmas at Luther tickets. You still need to set up the online access to your account and log in using the My Account box to purchase.

I want to sit with my current Luther student. They are not in Christmas at Luther, and I know they get a free ticket. Luther students are entitled to one free ticket to Christmas at Luther; it is coded directly to their personal ticket account. It must be obtained by the student.  Student tickets cannot be processed with the parent ticket order, and students can choose their own seat.

I didn’t get the Christmas at Luther tickets I wanted/Tickets were all sold out when I went to buy them.  Will there be a waiting list? With the new system, we will not have a Christmas at Luther waiting list.  Any unsold tickets will go on sale to the public on November 1. We do ask that if you have concert tickets but are unable to attend Christmas at Luther, please call the Luther College Ticket Office as soon as possible at 563.387.1357.  Refunds/exchanges are only accepted until November 4.  

I am a Christmas at Luther Donor and I want to buy my tickets rather than use the offer from Development/Alumni Office.  When you receive the offer from Development/Alumni, we remove your ability to also purchase tickets through the usual sales, as that offer gives you the best access to seats and the best price.  All tickets can be puchased through your Development/Alumni ticket offer this year. I am a Parents Council member.  My student and I cannot buy tickets online even though we have an account.  All of your tickets, including the student ticket, will be coordinated by Sue Drilling in the Development Office.  Please contact Sue at drillisu@luther.edu with any questions and to secure your tickets for Christmas at Luther.
