Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall
Blending traditional African dance with contemporary choreography, EVIDENCE shares the African Diaspora expereince with its audience through vibrant, kinetic movement, music, and spoken word. The New York Times lauds this Brooklyn-based group for its "magnificently textured style, which shifts from earthy, raw-powered movement to jumps that send dancers sailing into the air like spirits."
This presentation is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from Iowa Arts Council and the Crane Group.
